Luxury Purchase Readiness Scorecard

A transparent, educational framework for testing whether a major purchase fits your liquidity, cash flow, risk controls, and exit plan.

How the score works

The scorecard assigns equal weight to eight planning questions. Each “yes” adds 12.5 points. It does not measure creditworthiness or replace professional advice. A high score means the planning inputs are more complete—not that a purchase is automatically appropriate.

Readiness questions

Answer based on documented information, not estimates you have not verified.

Interpretation bands

  • 0–37: Foundational planning is incomplete.
  • 50–62: Several inputs are documented, but important gaps remain.
  • 75–87: Planning is substantially complete; verify assumptions and professional reviews.
  • 100: All eight planning categories are documented. This is not an approval or recommendation.

Source and methodology notes

This original ReserveOne framework organizes widely recognized consumer-planning principles: understand total cost, preserve emergency liquidity, review financing disclosures, verify insurance, inspect the asset, consider taxes, and document an exit plan.
