Annual Asset Review Workbook
A repeatable annual process for keeping high-value asset records complete, current, and ready for renewal, refinancing, transfer, or sale.
Annual review sequence
- Identity and ownership: confirm title, registration, entity ownership, serial or hull numbers, and custody records.
- Condition and service: record inspections, maintenance, open repairs, recalls, refits, and deferred work.
- Insurance: review values, limits, deductibles, exclusions, security requirements, drivers or operators, and renewal dates.
- Operating budget: compare actual spending with the reserve plan and document unusual expenses.
- Value evidence: refresh appraisals, comparable sales, broker opinions, or replacement-cost evidence as appropriate.
- Exit readiness: identify missing documents, transfer restrictions, liens, taxes, commissions, and likely transaction costs.
